An eye-opening and informative parenting workshop based on John Gottman’s proven Emotion Coaching techniques. This course teaches psychologically advanced skills that replace and improve upon the outdated permissive and authoritarian methods found ineffective with today’s children. My goal is to help parents raise responsible, thinking, loving and confident children while using effective discipline. This course focuses heavily on teaching caregivers to be their children’s “emotional coach" in which parents report positive, lasting results with their children as well as improved relationships in all areas of their lives.  Anyone raising a child is encouraged to attend: including, but not limited to, established parents, step-parents, adoptive parents, struggling parents, and grandparents.

Research shows that children who understand their feelings and learn about their emotions have
these advantages, among others:

  • They form stronger friendships with other children.

  • They calm themselves down more quickly when they get upset.

  • They perform better in school.

  • They handle their moods better and have fewer negative emotions.

  • They get sick less often.
